I'd found an older cat at Best Friends Shelter outside of Los Angeles and was close to adopting her until an unexpected moment happened. I stood up from the sitting position on the floor (I'd been playing with the potential cat) and suddenly a paw darted out of the top level of a cat condo in the communal adoption room. This beautiful cat peered its face out and pawed me again. He captured my heart. And now Remy has been in my life six years.
