A big thank you to America’s Test Kitchen & Cook’s Country hosts Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison for coming to Milwaukee PBS for a non stop 36 hours of events. Before their first event, a Milwaukee PBS Major Donor dinner at Bacchus Restaurant, we made a quick stop at the fabled Museum of Art. Bridget and Julia look forward to a tour next time.
The final event of the day was a meet and greet and presentation at Milwaukee’s Public Market.
At 11:30am, Bridget and Julia headed into Milwaukee Area Technical College’s well reviewed Cuisine Restaurant. It’s the highly rated eatery where final year culinary arts students spend their last semester, cooking in the kitchen and running the front of the house - under the supervision of Chefs Jack Kaestner and John Reiss. Sixty-five lucky Milwaukee PBS members were part of the sold out event which also included several MATC Board Members, David Dull, Ann Wilson and Kahri Phelps-Okoro. The students and MATC chef-instructors got an opportunity to ask questions of Bridget and Julia. Attendees moved to the MATC Student Gallery where Bridget and Julia autographed copies of their cookbook.
